仁辉讲堂之数智赋能丨谢亿民:适用于建筑设计的广义拓扑优化法

杨廷宝先生,字仁辉,是我国著名建筑学家和建筑教育家,色情导航 建筑学科创立的一代宗师。2021年杨廷宝先生诞辰120周年之际,为传承和光扬先生的学术精神,色情导航 开设“仁辉讲堂”,长期延请国内外著名学者、建筑师举办讲座,弘扬学术,激励后学,推动中国建筑和建筑教育事业的蓬勃发展。一直以来,建筑学学科在新技术的影响下不断发展。尤其是近几年数字技术、人工智能所带来的创新思维和应用,促使古老的建筑学直面机遇和挑战,加快转型,探索新的学科边界。为此,从2024年开始,仁辉讲堂增设“数智赋能(Digital Empowerment)”系列,展现国内外最新成果。本期仁辉讲堂,由河海大学未来技术色情导航院长谢亿民教授主讲,采取线上线下同步直播的方式开展。

Generalized Topology Optimization for Architectural Design

Topology optimization has been increasingly used for designing innovative and efficient structures. This talk presents a wide range of practical applications of the bi-directional evolutionary structural optimization (BESO) method developed by the speaker’s team, and challenges many assumptions commonly used in conventional topology optimization. These assumptions include: (1) to find the unique and globally optimal solution—the “best” design, (2) under prescribed support conditions, (3) for given loading conditions, (4) within a predetermined design domain, and (5) without considering the designer’s aesthetic preferences. Through a systematic discussion and a variety of examples, the speaker will demonstrate that the conventional assumptions are not only unnecessary, but also imposing severe limitations on design freedom and hindering creativity in structural and architectural designs. 







讲者简介

谢亿民,澳大利亚工程院院士,现任河海大学未来技术色情导航院长,拓扑优化方法的奠基人,创立了进化结构优化(ESO)理论方法,在结构优化设计与智能制造领域取得了国际瞩目的成就。他曾在澳大利亚皇家墨尔本理工大学(RMIT)担任杰出教授、创新结构与材料研究中心主任。谢亿民1984年本科毕业于上海交通大学工程力学系,之后跟随中国科色情导航钟万勰院士攻读硕士学位。1987年赴英国跟随英国皇家学会院士O.C. Zienkiewicz(辛克维奇)大师攻读博士学位。2002年被皇家墨尔本理工大学土木工程系聘为终身教授及系主任,2011年当选澳大利亚工程院院士。2017年荣获澳大利亚创新大奖(Clunies Ross Innovation Award)和澳大利亚机械工程领域最高奖 — 米歇尔奖章(AGM Michell Medal)2017年受聘为中国国务院侨务办公室专家咨询委员会委员。2019年荣获澳大利亚科研基金委授予的澳洲学术界最高荣誉 — 澳大利亚桂冠教授。2022年,荣膺澳大利亚土木工程领域最高奖(Sir John Holland Civil Engineer of the Year Award)。发表英文专著两部,SCI论文五百余篇,被引用约四万次。

XIE Yimin(谢亿民)is currently a full-time professor of Hohai University. Previously, he was an Australian Laureate Fellow and a Distinguished Professor of Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) where he established the Centre for Innovative Structures and Materials. He received his bachelor’s degree in engineering mechanics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1984 and earned his PhD in computational mechanics from Swansea University in the United Kingdom in 1991. He played a key role in developing the widely used evolutionary structural optimization (ESO) method and the bi-directional evolutionary structural optimization (BESO) method. Professor Xie was elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering in 2011. His research impact in the field of structural optimization was recognised by the 2017 AGM Michell Medal and the 2017 Clunies Ross Innovation Award. In 2020, he was awarded the Victoria Prize for Science and Innovation. In 2022, he was named the Sir John Holland Civil Engineer of the Year. Professor Xie has published two research monographs and 500 SCI journal articles, which have attracted 40,000 citations in Google Scholar. His team received the Digital FUTURES World 2020 Coding Award for developing the highly influential topology optimization software, Ameba.
